FX-MAPSAPP is Share Maps: a real maps app for LB-Phone and Cylex Phone. It opens inside the phone your players already use, draws Los Santos on its own tile set, and puts the two things a phone map is actually for within reach — finding a place, and seeing where your friends are.

The map is not the game's minimap dressed up. Three layers — atlas, road and satellite — render from 771 tiles, with low-resolution tiles standing in until the detailed ones arrive, so panning never shows a blank grid. Street labels and points of interest fade in at their own zoom levels instead of all at once. Every pin on it is a real world coordinate, and tapping one starts a route with a live distance and ETA that updates as the player drives.

Friends share their live position with each other, in one direction at a time and only for as long as they chose: fifteen minutes, an hour, eight hours, or until they stop it. Sharing is separate from friendship, so being on someone's list does not put you on their map. A friend who logs off leaves their last known pin rather than vanishing, and a pin that stops updating is marked stale rather than quietly lying.

The server decides everything that matters. Every request from the phone passes a token-bucket rate limit and a validator that coerces the value, checks its range against the world bounds, and drops it if it does not fit. Places, friends and settings live in eight database tables read through a cache that a write invalidates in the same call. A live position is never written to the database at all — it is relayed to the people the player chose and forgotten.

Players save up to sixty places across twelve categories, pick a profile picture from fifty photographs or build a vector avatar from face, hair, beard and glasses parts, and switch between five themes and two languages from inside the app. Everything they change is theirs alone and follows their character.

Adding your own framework or phone is two files, both outside escrow. Every bridge adapter and every phone adapter ships open, with a documented template to copy.
