FX-SOUND is a 3D spatial audio backend for FiveM built on the Web Audio API — a drop-in alternative to xSound that can do what a plain audio element physically cannot.

Because every sound runs through a real Web Audio graph, each one gets a PannerNode for true 3D positioning and a BiquadFilter for genuine low-pass muffling: a track inside a sealed car sounds sealed, a track heard from underwater sounds submerged, and a track inside a building loses its highs — not by dropping the volume, but by actually filtering the frequencies.

Positions, listener facing, and muffle cutoffs are all smoothed toward their targets instead of hard-set, which removes the warble while driving, the stutter while turning, and the click when an environment flips.

It has no framework, no database, and no resource dependencies of any kind. Other scripts drive it entirely through 21 exports, so it slots under any music, radio, or ambience system you already run.

INFORMATION

- Real Web Audio Engine — PannerNode 3D Positioning Plus BiquadFilter Muffling

- Genuine Low-Pass Filtering, Not Just Volume Reduction

- Four Environment Presets: None, Sealed Vehicle, Interior, and Underwater

- Per-Sound Environments Plus a Separate Listener-Level Environment for the Local Player

- Bass Boost via Low-Shelf EQ with Off / Low / Medium / High Presets

- Master Brickwall Limiter So a Heavy Bass Boost Colours the Sound Instead of Clipping It

- Selectable Panning Model — Equalpower by Default, or HRTF for Binaural Precision

- Three Distance Models (Linear, Inverse, Exponential) with Tunable Reference Distance and Rolloff

- Independent Smoothing for Position, Listener Rotation, and Environment Cutoff

- Longer Rotation Smoothing by Design — Turning Swings Stereo Pan Harder Than Walking Swings Distance

- Native YouTube Playback Through the IFrame API — Resolved Client-Side, Never on Your Server

- Direct Audio URL Playback with No CORS Tainting and No Proxy Required

- Automatic Retry for Sources That Die Before the First Sample, with a Configurable Delay

- Handles Signed URLs That Edge Nodes Reject Once and Then Serve Fine

- YouTube API Load Timeout So a Queue Can Never Hang Forever on an Unreachable Track

- Fade-In on Play and Timed Fade-Out on Stop

- OnStart and OnEnd Callbacks Per Sound

- Progress Heartbeat Feeding a Lua Cache — GetPosition, GetDuration, and Exists Answer Synchronously

- Messages Sent Before the NUI Page Loads Are Queued, Never Lost

- 21 Exports: Play, PlayPos, Pause, Resume, Stop, FadeStop, Seek, Volume, Distance, Spatial, Listener, EQ and More
